In other goings-on, I finally made a second cot doona cover for washing rotation, this time using up the last of my stripey Ikea fabric . As there wasn't quite enough, and I wanted to have a matching pillowcase, I put it together with two other orange toned fabrics. I quite like the look, and seeing as I'm still not game enough to try to make a quilt (chicken!) it slightly satisfies that urge! I repurposed a piece of an old worn out queen sized sheet for the underside. That stash is starting to go down!

Blogiversary giveaway

It was my 'blogiversary' recently (well, last month, but who's counting!). I wanted to thank you all for your comments, kind words and encouragement over the past year. I love my little space here and you make it so much more fun and rewarding.

Once I have a winner I will make your items using fabric from my stash. School fete craft bee

This morning another mum from school and I got together to have a craft session in order to make some things for the school fete in a couple of weeks. Of course there was lots of chatting too and discussion about arty businesses that really got me thinking about how and where I see my working future - a topic which is always on my mind!



It was lovely to chat while working and collaborating on creative projects. It reminded me of those high school and uni days where you work in the studio on projects with others in this creative atmosphere full of camaraderie. Ah, those were the days...
